Greek Voyage part II
Sailing yacht, wild bays and ancient towns
from the 3d to the 10th of August

8 days
8 islands
8 participants
There is nothing we like as much as adventures, so we decided to continue our traditional regatta - Greek Voyage. Part II. In August, we'll meet on the island of Kos to travel around Greek islands by yacht and create new unforgettable memories.

The Dodecanese archipelago is a group of islands in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Over the centuries, these areas have been under the rule of the Romans, Byzantines and Turks and it had a great impact on the culture and architecture of local cities.

Sandy beaches with turquoise water, wild coves with steep cliffs and caves, cities of rich history and small fishing villages that have preserved the local colour await us.

Kos – the arrival day
The first day of the trip we'll dedicate to the organizational moments: arrival in the marina (at 7 pm), purchase of products, accommodation on the yacht, briefing. In the evening we'll organize a welcome party on the yacht.

Marina is a well-equipped harbour for yachts, where there is everything you need for comfortable life: showers, toilets and laundries.

Kos – Pserimos – Kalymnos (Vatis)
We'll start the day with a quiet breakfast on a yacht, and then we'll go to the small picturesque island of Pserimos for swimming and sunbathing. Along the way we'll be able to train in sailing and taking the wheel. Someone can sit on the bow of the yacht to reed a book and relax.

Our goal for today is Kalymnos Island. Its coastline is rugged, so there is an endless chain of large and small bays, capes, caves and beaches.

We'll park in Vati, which is located in the greenest part of the island. The town's deep inland bay and surrounding steep cliffs create a spectacular sight, that remonds of famous Norwegian fjords. We'll leave our yacht in the marina, explore the island, have dinner at the local tavern, go sightseeing and swim.

Kalymnos (Vatis) – Leros (Alinda)
In the morning we'll have breakfast on the yacht and head for Leros Island. It had been under the rule of the Persians, Byzantines, Romans and Turks. At the beginning of the 20th century the island was occupied by Italians. It made an impact on the local architecture.

We'll go for a walk along Agia Marina, the island's capital, climb up the ruins of an ancient fortress and sunbathe on the beaches of the resort Alinda. Those who wish can visit the ruins of the ancient temple of Artemis, which is located a few kilometers from the city.

Leros (Alinda) – Lipsi – Patmos (Scala)
On the 4th day we'll visit a group of Lipsi islands with sandy beaches and pure water. Their rich flora and fauna are listed in the Natura 2000 catalogue, which protects the biodiversity of the species.

There are snorkeling masks and flipperss on the yacht to explore the wildlife. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see turtles and the Mediterranean monk seals.

We'll have lunch at the local tavern and head to Patmos Island, our ultimate destination. We'll spend 2 nights and one full day here.

Patmos (Scala)
Patmos is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its natural beauty is amazing. We recommend to see the medieval sights, and to go to the local beaches in the afternoon. The variety of beaches is impressive!

In the evening we'll gather on the yacht, arrange our traditional carnival and go to the local bars.

Patmos (Scala) – Leros (Leros Marina)
We'll go around Leros Island from the other side and park in the central port of Lakki. On the way, we'll learn basic skills of navigation by map and train to take the wheel again.

In Lakki you won't find traditional Greek architecture, the city was built by the Italians just before the Second World War. However, there are ancient Catholic and Orthodox churches here. We recommend to visit the church of Agios Theologos, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches on the island. There are icons of the 11th century there.

In the suburbs of Lakki you can visit the military museum, built on the site of the Italian Navy base of the Second World War.

We'll prepare dinner on a yacht, swim and go for a walk around the city. At the sunset we'll have a picnic with local snacks and wine at the top of the hill, where you can enjoy a great view of the bay.

Leros (Leros Marina) – Kalymnos (Main port) – Kos (Kos Marina)
After having breakfast on the yacht, we'll go towards Kos Island.

By lunchtime we'll stop in the capital of Kalymnos where we'll enjoy the sea and azure coast. You can buy some souvenirs here, walk along narrow streets and have a cup of Greek coffee on the waterfront.

Afterhaving lunch on the yacht, we'll head to our home marina. In the evening we w'ill arrange a farewell party POTOK, where we'll share our impressions of the trip and dream about the following ones.

In the morning of the 8th day we'll wake up, have breakfast and leave the yachts before 9:00.

* Our routes are thought out, but the weather conditions can make their own adjustments.

Hi there!

It's me, Dima Urazov, the founder and the captain of Potok. My passion for yachting came from my childhood, when my grandfather taught me to sail the boat called «Dragon». Since 2012 I am a licensed captain of the IYT standard. For the past six years I have participated in 12 cruises, 2 Göcek Race Week regattas with experienced captains and took courses in human survival in open water. I have been organizing sailing trips around the world since 2018. More than 50 guys fell in love with yachting after taking part in my trips.

My adventures are not only about yachts, but also about friends. I'm so lucky I have a lot of friends who live all over the world. On our trips, we often visit them and make beautiful memories together. Send me an e-mail or text me on Facebook, join us!
